Exclusive: What Viktor Gyokeres camp is now ready to do that will be music to Arsenal's ears

TBR Football can exclusively confirm a major development regarding Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres which will come as a welcome boost to the Gunners.

Arsenal are in the market for a new centre-forward in wake of a season in which their lack of an out-and-out No. 9 has impacted on their pursuit of silverware.
TBR Football previously confirmed that Gyokeres is a player who Arsenal scouts like very much after carrying out checks on the player.

And it looks as though the Gunners’ interest in Gyokeres is now being reciprocated.

Viktor Gyokeres camp ready to make Arsenal his first-choice destination this summer
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that, over the last couple of weeks, it has become apparent to Gyokeres just how serious Arsenal’s interest has become.

We can reveal that the Swedish star’s representatives have indicated that a move to the Emirates is hugely appealing and they are ready to make it their first choice for this summer.

They are understood to have been impressed with Arsenal’s approach to the situation and that is key for Gyokeres.

His next club has little to do with money for him, as we revealed on TBR Football – the project is key for him as he thinks about his career path rather than riches and finances of any move.

Gyokeres always had confidence that his next club after Sporting would be a Milan or a Barcelona – or indeed an Arsenal.

However, the Gunners aren’t the only ones keen on Gyokeres – Chelsea are still keeping tabs on the Sporting ace, with Juventus also keen.

Where Viktor Gyokeres is now ranking in Arsenal’s striker wish-list
In addition, TBR Football understands that Gyokeres is now emerging as Arsenal’s top-choice target up front.

Sources have confirmed to TBR Football that, after their renewed work on their top targets, the Sweden star was emerging ahead of the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Victor Osimhen, who has also impressed Arsenal in recent weeks.

Arsenal insist that their renewed look at strikers – which has taken place in recent weeks – was not directly related to their previous top target Alexander Isak.

However, we are told that there is a new belief at the Emirates that, should Isak leave Newcastle, he would favour Liverpool ahead of them – meaning they have had taken the idea of landing him off the table.
