‘He’d be ideal’: Alan Brazil says Arsenal already have the perfect Gabriel Magalhaes replacement

Arsenal are facing something of a nightmare scenario at the moment as they’ve suffered yet another injury.

Gabriel went down against Fulham on Tuesday evening, and the Brazilian will require surgery on his hamstring, leaving him out of action for the rest of the season.

The title race appears to be over, but Arsenal do still have one major prize to play for as they prepare to face Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Thierry Henry believes Arsenal can get past Madrid, but without Gabriel in the team, the Gunners will face an uphill battle.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour have been discussing how Arsenal can replace Gabriel, and he says that Ben White could be the perfect solution to Mikel Arteta’s newest problem.

Parlour and Brazil discussed how Arsenal could replace Gabriel after his injury.

Parlour picked out White as a potential option, noting that he has played as a centre-half in the past.

Brazil agreed with Parlour, claiming that White could be the ideal solution to this problem.

“Look at Ben White. I don’t know what the problem is with Ben White. He’s played at centre-half as well, so you know he’s played in that situation,” Parlour said.

“Yeah. I think he’d be ideal,” Brazil said.

Ben White has played more as a right-back for Arsenal in recent years, but he did arrive at the Emirates as a centre-back.

Indeed, White was a centre-back during his time at Brighton, and he was initially signed for Arsenal to play in this position.
