Gyokeres is believed to be Arsenal’s number one option to bolster their frontline next season, with Mikel Arteta particularly keen on bringing him to the Emirates.
The Spanish tactician is said to be ‘convinced’ that Gyokeres’ physicality and overall profile align perfectly with his tactical vision and, as a result, Arsenal are prepared to offer the striker a long-term contract and make him one of the club’s highest earners.

According to Just Arsenal, the Gunners are seen as front-runners to sign Gyokeres this summer, although no formal agreement has been finalised yet.
Chelsea and Manchester United could still bring competition to the table, but their potential offers are expected to fall short of Arsenal’s proposal for the 26-year-old forward.
Gyokeres, praised as the ‘world’s best striker’, has enjoyed another outstanding season in Portugal, scoring 44 goals and registering 11 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions.
The Sweden international is under contract with Sporting until June 2028, and a deal for him is likely to cost around €70m (£60m).
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Gyokeres has scored 87 goals in 94 appearances for Sporting since joining from Coventry in 2023.
Arsenal are also believed to have several alternatives to Gyokeres on their shortlist, including RB Leipzig starlet Benjamin Sesko, who was targeted last summer.
According to GIVEMESPORT sources, the Gunners have received indications that the Slovenian striker would be open to a move to the Emirates this summer and is likely to be available for around £60m.
