Rasmus Hojlund’s future at Manchester United has been uncertain for a while, and he has now agreed to terms of a contract to join Napoli.
The Danish international has accepted the deal offered by the Italian champions, according to today’s issue of La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
According to the Milan-based media outlet, the teenage center forward was first offered a contract for 3.5 million euros per year by the Naples-based team.
It was insufficient, though, and they have now reached an agreement that will pay the 22-year-old 5 million euros annually, or £21.6 million over the following five years.
Regarding the price, Corriere dello Sport reports that Man United has reached an agreement to transfer Hojlund to Napoli for 45 million euros, or £38.8 million.
The distinction, though, has to do with the conditions of the duty.
According to Gazzetta, the Old Trafford team is more interested in what the Serie A team can accomplish with Hojlund than in how many goals he scored.
If the agreement has a convenient clause, like Champions League qualification, and a moderate number of appearances, the Red Devils have chosen to seal the deal.
Hojlund only netted 4 goals in the Premier League last season for Man United, who have kept him out of the squad in both the league fixtures this season so far.
With only a few days left in the summer transfer window, let’s see whether all parties can complete the agreement to seal the transfer.
