Footage of Kobbie Mainoo after Fulham draw goes viral as he’s left on the bench again

Manchester United fans are concerned after footage of Kobbie Mainoo emerged on social media following the club’s draw against Fulham.

Man United came away from Craven Cottage with a draw, earning them their first point of the new Premier League season.

Rodrigo Muniz’s own goal from a corner gave the visitors the lead in the second half.

In the 72nd, Emile Smith Rowe tied the score to give his team a point.

Following the game, Man United supporters expressed their concerns about Mainoo’s future after the final whistle because he did not enter the game against Fulham.

Having missed his team’s first two league games of the season, Mainoo can be seen in a video appearing irritated and depressed.

Naturally, the video went viral on the internet as Man United supporters expressed their opinions.

One X user wrote: “He’s 100% going, look at him.”

A second added: “We can’t let Mainoo leave, too.”

A third claimed: “Mainoo will outlast Amorim!!”

Another commented: “People were saying “It’s 1 game”. Amorim’s literally played every first team midfielder EXCEPT Mainoo.”

Ruben Amorim explains why Kobbie Mainoo didn’t play against Fulham

Mainoo was yet again an unused substitute against Fulham after failing to come on against Arsenal in the opening weekend.

In his post-match press conference, Amorim told reporters that the 20-year-old didn’t come on because he’s competing with captain Bruno Fernandes.

“He’s fighting for the position now with Bruno,” Amorim said of the young midfielder. “And I change two midfielders. I let Mason Mount [play] there because we want to score a goal and when I changed I felt the team need to return to one holding midfielder near Bruno.

“So he (Mainoo) just needs to fight for the position with Bruno, as [it] should be at Manchester United. [Sometimes] he’s going to play with Bruno, but at the moment he’s fighting in training with Bruno for the position.”

Mainoo played 37 games across all competitions last season, including 25 league appearances.

He could feature when the Red Devils face Grimsby in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
