Jadon Sancho wanted by surprise club after rejecting Man Utd exit

Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move to a shock club after rejecting a transfer to Serie A side Roma earlier in the window.

Sancho is almost expected to depart United this summer after playing for his old team, Borussia Dortmund, for the second half of the previous season and on loan with Chelsea the previous season.

Since United made it obvious that he is not in their plans for the current season, the England international has been linked to a number of clubs during the summer transfer window.

Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund have also been linked to high-profile departures, and Sancho is just one of several players who are anticipated to depart the team before the transfer market ends on September 1.

And now that a European powerhouse is apparently thinking about making a last-minute approach for the winger, it looks like we could know precisely where Sancho is going.

Italian team Roma was the first team to formally express interest in Sancho this summer. They made a formal offer to the 25-year-old that would have cost United almost £20 million.

Fabrizio Romano, a transfer analyst, claims that Sancho’s representative also told AS Roma that they had decided not to accept the offer because Sancho wanted to consider alternative possibilities that were available to them later in the window.

However, a report from Sky Sports Germany claimed that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are considering making a deal for Sancho late in the transfer window, suggesting that he may be ready to receive his highest offer to yet.

According to the source, Sancho’s name is on the list of one or two new players that Bayern director of sport Max Eberl still intends to add before the transfer market closes.

Bayern is apparently interested in Sancho, Hojlund, a teammate from United, Fabio Vieira of Arsenal, and Marco Asensio of Paris Saint-Germain, who made an impression when on loan at Aston Villa the previous season.

Although it is unclear who is being given priority, it is said that the German champions are in negotiations with a number of players.

The source does note that a move for Sancho is still improbable this window, despite the fact that it is possible.
