Just in: Man Utd advancing on deal to sign £17m star, player has said yes – Fabrizio Romano

According to GIVEMESPORT journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United is making progress in their pursuit of Senne Lammens.

With the addition of Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Bryan Mbeumo for a total of more than £200 million with add-ons, the Red Devils have strengthened manager Ruben Amorim’s forward options during the summer transfer window.

Currently, however, the team is focusing on improving its own goalkeeper, and they are making progress in their pursuit of Antwerp star Lammens.

Lammens ‘Says Yes’ to Man Utd Move

Known as “phenomenal,” Lammens is regarded as one of Europe’s best goalie prospects and is anticipated to depart the Belgian team this summer due to intense interest from clubs throughout the continent.

However, following the announcement on his X account by GIVEMESPORT journalist Fabrizio Romano that negotiations were in progress, it has since been reported that negotiations are progressing between the two clubs on a £17 million deal.

The 23-year-old goalie has also already consented to the transfer to Old Trafford, and any rumors of a possible transfer to Manchester City have been dismissed because the team is concentrating on acquiring Gianluigi Donnarumma in the event that Ederson departs this summer.

After the Cameroon international was left out of the team for the 1-0 loss to Arsenal on the first weekend of the season, a transfer for Lammens would cast even more doubt on the future of current number one Andre Onana.

Amorim disclosed that the former Ajax and Inter Milan star was available for selection against Arsenal but was left out of the matchday 20 due to Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton’s performances during training. The player missed preseason action due to a hamstring injury sustained during training.

The club’s recent drive for Lammens raises the possibility that Onana will be considered expendable and that the Red Devils would want to get rid of him before the deadline of September 1st.
