An unlikely name has been mentioned in conversations between Manchester United and Chelsea as they continue to negotiate the transfer of Alejandro Garnacho.
Chelsea and United are still negotiating a deal for Garnacho, who was told he might leave Old Trafford after being included in the ‘bomb squad’ along with Tyrell Malacia, Antony, and Jadon Sancho.
‘Very enthusiastic’ about joining Enzo Maresca’s team, the 21-year-old says Fabrizio Romano.
“Chelsea expects the Alejandro Garnacho deal to happen,” Romano stated on his YouTube channel. “This week, I believe we’ll have a ‘Here We Go’. The player feels this deal will happen.”
This summer, Garnacho rejected offers from other Premier League teams, including Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Germany, in favor of a suggested move to Chelsea.
Chelsea academy product mentioned in Garnacho negotiations
Fabrizio Romano continues in his most recent video to imply that Tyrique George, a highly regarded forward, was brought up in recent weeks during Manchester United and Chelsea negotiations.
Regarding George’s role in the agreement, he stated, “I can tell you a behind-the-scenes story about these negotiations, but from what I’ve been told, this option was already stopped a few weeks ago.”
“At the moment, Tyrique George is not part of those conversations.”
Roma has inquired about George after his breakthrough season at Chelsea last season, in which he recorded three goals and five assists in 26 games. George is one of the names they are considering.
Man Utd mentioned another Chelsea player in negotiations
Ben Jacobs, a transfer specialist, stated earlier this week that Chelsea’s initial offer for Garnacho would be close to £30 million instead of United’s minimum asking price of £50 million.
Jacobs also disclosed that Chelsea’s Andrey Santos, who played on loan at Strasbourg in Ligue 1 during the 2024–2025 season, was brought up in talks between the teams.
He told The United Stand, “Andrey Santos has been discussed, but I don’t think it will lead anywhere because Chelsea doesn’t want to sell.” “At this point, it’s nothing more than the fact that Manchester United values that player.”
