‘Manchester United said yes’ – Red Devils agree to exit and Champions League now being used as bait

This summer, AC Milan attempted to sign Rasmus Højlund from Manchester United, and Igli Tare, their technical director, even met with the Red Devils in England.

The striker was hesitant at first, but he later changed his mind as long as the loan agreement included a purchase obligation. Milan sought a purchase option, and Napoli recently joined the fray.

We discussed Italian reports two days ago that Milan wants to move forward with signing the 22-year-old on loan with a buyout clause. Since then, they have tried to sign Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen, who has come to Italy for a medical examination.

Now that Milan is out of the running, attention is on the Naples team. The most recent chapter in the ongoing story of the Manchester United player’s future can be seen in Saturday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Romelu Lukaku had an injury last week that will keep him out of action for some time. The Serie A champions are now forced to search for a striker, and Højlund is their top target.

Giovanni Manna, the sporting director of Napoli, is reportedly available to Manchester United every day. “Manchester United said yes” to Napoli’s offer to sign him on loan with a buyout option. The former Atalanta player must be persuaded to finish this operation.

According to Gazzetta, the Italian champions are making progress by increasing the compensation to €4.5 million net annually. This is done in order for Højlund to agree to a loan that provides a buy option rather than a commitment.

In order to defend the Scudetto and play a key role in Europe this season, which will have league and Champions League games every three days, Napoli reaffirmed to Højlund their belief that he is essential. And it is impossible to overlook an exhibition like this, no matter what.

The Manchester United player must now choose whether to accept it or not.

In Italy, there have been a number of accusations regarding Højlund’s exit, and the more specific ones—not that there are many—sometimes get lost.
