Manchester United is planning what may be their biggest summer acquisition to date, so the closing hours of the transfer market are anything but calm at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are allegedly keen to finalize a contract for a new goalkeeper and complete a striker departure as Monday approaches.
With Napoli apparently closing in on a €6 million loan agreement with an obligation to buy for €44 million if they qualify for the Champions League, Rasmus Hojlund’s time at Manchester United looks to be coming to an end. Just 26 goals have been scored since the Danish striker, who cost United almost £72 million to acquire from Atalanta, returned, forcing United to look at other options.
United set to secure deal for Senne Lammens
Benjamin Sesko was signed by MUFC management because they were eager to upgrade the Dane after a terrible season on all fronts. Even though United would suffer a large financial loss if Hojlund were to leave, the transfer would still be advantageous to all sides.
The goalie situation, meanwhile, is still evolving quickly. Senne Lammens, 23, is almost finished moving to Old Trafford, and Manchester United is getting closer to signing him. Stef Wils, the manager of Royal Antwerp, has been forthright about the matter and has confirmed that Lammens is adhering to a personal training regimen in order to reduce the chance of injury prior to his anticipated departure.
