In the second round of the EFL Cup, League Two team Grimsby Town defeated Manchester United on penalties. These are the game’s player ratings.
(An average score is six.)
Onana, Andre 1. Horrible, terrible, awful. terrible in the shootout and at fault for both goals. Never again should he wear a United shirt.
Tyler Fredricson 2 appeared to be a boy playing a game meant for men. couldn’t handle the opposition and couldn’t get close enough to Charles Vernam for the first goal. At halftime, it was appropriately taken off.
Harry Maguire 7: Although he wasn’t playing at his best at the defense, he created a great opportunity for Sesko and then headed in United’s equalizing goal.
Ayden Heaven 4: wasn’t extremely active, but he also didn’t seem very confident. He got caught up in a challenge with his own teammate and nearly made a catastrophic mistake.
Diogo Dalot 2: Another Shambolic. sloppy at the back and only contributed one attack, which should have been a goal, to Sesko’s cross.
Manuel Ugarte 1: He could as well have skipped the game because he didn’t contribute anything. His slack attempt to regain possession of the ball resulted in a collision with Amad, which made things worse and gave Grimsby their first goal. Hooked when taking a rest. The departure door should be shown to another person.
The best of a terrible group is Kobbie Mainoo 6. His passing was good, and he occasionally drove well with the ball while riding a number of challenges, but it was by no means an exceptional performance by his high standards. Mbeumo’s goal was registered as an assist.
Patrick Dorgu 5: One of the few players that gave United a marginally better performance. sent in crosses for Sesko and continued in an attempt to make things happen.
Amad 3: Insufficient. really bad with the ball and carelessly gave up possession for Grimsby’s first goal. fought to leave his imprint.
Cunha, Matheus 4.5: He didn’t see the ball nearly enough times to make a significant impact, but the majority of his touches were clean. United crashed out of the competition after he missed his penalty in the shootout.
Benjamin Sesko 5: Made several attempts at goal but was unable to score. Dalot’s cross was his best opportunity, but Pym stopped him.
