Het Laatste Nieuws stated two days ago that Manchester United is almost certain to sign Senne Lammens, the goalkeeper for Royal Antwerp.

The Belgian did not play in his team’s 2-1 victory over KV Mechelen on Sunday.

Manchester United is interested in signing the goalie, who wants to move to Old Trafford. Het Laatste Nieuws has released a new story indicating that he is expected to sign with the Red Devils this summer.

They reiterate that the Red Devils and Royal Antwerp are in advanced talks for the 23-year-old. The Belgian team has set a price of €20 million, and Manchester United may offer bonuses to satisfy their demand. There are rumors that talks between the two clubs are progressing well.

Although there is still confidence that he will transfer to Old Trafford, Galatasaray and other teams are in the background, prepared to step in if his move to Manchester United falls through.

Lammens was excluded from the team on Sunday for this reason. Stef Wils, the manager of Royal Antwerp, was explicitly questioned about benching the goalie, and HLN has shared his responses.

“Transfer talks are ongoing. Senne is handling the situation calmly,” he said.

HLN say Royal Antwerp striker Vincent Janssen has a good relationship with Lammens. He has also responded to the latest reports of Manchester United’s interest.

“Senne is one of the few guys who really doesn’t say much about such things. We read more in the media than we hear from Senne himself. He’s very calm about it,” Janssen explained.

“Well, wherever he signs, he’ll definitely be able to make a fantastic move. He deserves it. Senne has already proven he can handle a step up.”
