According to sources close to the agencies industry, the France international, who PSG values at about €60 million, is still in favor of a permanent move to Juventus, as reported by CaughtOffside.
Despite the Serie A powerhouses’ inability to come to a deal with PSG thus far, Kolo Muani is eager to return to Juventus after spending time on loan there last season.
CaughtOffside was then informed by sources that this resulted in Man Utd contacting them regarding a potential Kolo Muani trade.
However, our source claims that the player was not interested, and other reliable sources support this claim.
Manchester United interested in new striker signing
According to one report, Manchester United has begun looking into other names for their attack while they wait to come to a complete arrangement with Napoli on Rasmus Hojlund’s departure. Randal Kolo Muani, a striker for PSG, is one of the players being considered.
“United recently reached out, requesting details and indicating to the player’s group that they were interested in starting a conversation. Kolo Muani, nevertheless, hasn’t indicated that he would be amenable to a transfer to Old Trafford. The French attacker has stated unequivocally that Juventus is his top aim.
Although it’s unclear if this trade will ever happen, Juventus appears to be making every effort to reduce their payroll by selling Dusan Vlahovic.
Do Man Utd really need Kolo Muani?
As anticipated, United appears eager to add more depth up front after Hojlund departs.
According to a different source who spoke to CaughtOffside, if Kolo Muani is unable to secure a transfer to Juventus, the Red Devils “may step in again.”
Although it is unclear whether other candidates would be taken into consideration for that role, Ruben Amorim appears eager to have more choices up front in addition to Joshua Zirkzee, who joined last summer, and new signing Benjamin Sesko.
Kolo Muani might still be a player to keep an eye on and could have been a solid option, but it appears he is not interested in talking about moving to Old Trafford at this time.
