Manchester United players and staff were left ‘rolling their eyes’ after seeing who Alejandro Garnacho invited to one of their most important games of the season.
Against all odds, United lifted the FA Cup in May last year after goals from Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo sealed a memorable 2-1 win over Manchester City at Wembley.
United’s players celebrated long into the night. Erik ten Hag was soaked in champagne, Bruno Fernandes made a heartfelt speech on stage, and Harry Maguire could be heard chanting Neil Diamond classic “Sweet Caroline”.
But one of the big talking points was the surprise appearance of YouTube personality and Cristiano Ronaldo superfan IShowSpeed.
IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins, was sat in the stands at Wembley as United defied the odds. In fact, videos emerged of the American getting into a heated argument with supporters
Speed also met Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Scott McTominay and Kobbie Mainoo, but a report ahead of Saturday’s clash between Chelsea and United suggests there was discontent at his presence.
