Sky Sports: Man Utd target arrives in England ahead of deadline day move, awaits club decision

Sacha Tavolieri, a journalist for Sky Sports, claims that Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens has visited England in anticipation of a possible deadline-day transfer to Manchester United.

Lammens is one of two primary possibilities to join the Old Trafford team, who are hoping to replace Ruben Amorim as their goalkeeper in the closing hours of the transfer window.

Emiliano Martinez, a 32-year-old Argentina international who is reportedly higher on the shortlist than Lammens, is another veteran from Aston Villa that United is negotiating with.

According to Tavolieri, Lammens is still awaiting word from Old Trafford officials, who are still exploring both deals, before making a final decision.

Senne Lammens Keen on Man United Move

After Royal Antwerp gave United the all-clear to finalize the transaction, United reportedly made an upgraded bid for Lammens on Sunday.

After the 23-year-old’s breakthrough season in the Belgian Pro League, the Belgian team is reportedly open to Lammens leaving for a cost exceeding £25 million.

Last season, Lammens emerged as Antwerp’s starting goalkeeper after making 44 appearances in all competitions, giving up 56 goals while recording 10 clean sheets.

After joining Royal Antwerp from Club Brugge in the summer of 2023, the 23-year-old made four appearances in 2025–2026 but gave up goals in each of them. Due to United’s interest, he was left out of the team for the following two games.
