Kobbie Mainoo Reacts to Ruben Amorim Sacking as Social Media Activity Spotted

Kobbie Mainoo’s social media activity has attracted some attention after Ruben Amorim was sacked by Manchester United.

Amorim, 40, was appointed as United boss back in November 2024, following an impressive spell with Sporting Clube de Portugal.

However, the Portuguese failed to implement his playing style in the Red Devils squad.

In total, Amorim took charge of 63 matches, with a record of 24 wins, 18 draws and 21 defeats, which equates to a win rate of just 38.10 per cent.

On Monday, Amorim’s departure was officially confirmed via a club statement.

It read: “Ruben Amorim has departed his role as Head Coach of Manchester United. With Manchester United sitting sixth in the Premier League, the club’s leadership has reluctantly made the decision that it is the right time to make a change. This will give the team the best opportunity of the highest possible Premier League finish.

“The club would like to thank Ruben for his contribution to the club and wishes him well for the future.”

Following Amorim’s sacking, it was claimed that United staff were left ‘surprised’ after seeing the Portuguese laughing and joking with his coaching team as they departed the club’s training ground for the final time.

On Monday night, Mainoo, who found his minutes limited by Amorim, was seen liking an Instagram post that mocked the now former United head coach.

The post included several memes which referenced Amorim’s potential payout after being sacked. The caption read: “I’d be laughing too after getting a £10mil payout.” There has been no confirmation on Amorim’s apparent payout after United decided to sack him
