Bryan Mbeumo says Man Utd have a player who’s more competitive than Bruno Fernandes in training. Bruno Fernandes may be one of the most competitive players at Manchester United, but Bryan Mbeumo has named another teammate who takes it to the next level on the training pitch.

Bruno Fernandes may be one of the most competitive players at Manchester United, but Bryan Mbeumo has named another teammate who takes it to the next level on the training pitch.

The Portuguese talisman has been United’s most influential player since then, winning the Player of the Year four times already.

Fernandes will be in contention to win the annual award again this season, but there could be more competition than before, especially as Bryan Mbeumo currently tops the club’s goalscorer charts.

For many of the years Fernandes has been at United, winning the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, he has often been the one to take the team out of trouble.

He also shows his competitive nature with his role as captain whenever the referee needs a telling off, which goes unnoticed by many.

United fans will hope that Fernandes’ competitiveness will rub off on some of his teammates, but that won’t be a problem for one of them, at least on the training ground.

Joshua Zirkzee is Man Utd’s most competitive player in training

When you think of United’s most competitive players, one that doesn’t come to mind is Joshua Zirkzee.

Partly because the Dutch forward isn’t a regular in the line-up.

Zirkzee, 24, has scored nine goals since joining United at the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign. The forward has been utilised in multiple attacking positions, but he has been unable to cement a place in the team.

The Netherlands international recently returned from injury and reportedly wanted to stay at United last month, despite attracting interest from Serie A clubs.

In a new TikTok challenge with Sports Direct, Mbeumo shares some insight into the United dressing room.

Mbeumo selected Zirkzee as the most competitive United player in training, overlooking Fernandes, who many would have tipped to be the Cameroon star’s answer to the question.

Due to a lack of game time at United this season, Zirkzee is unlikely to be showing his competitive nature at the World Cup this summer.

Ronald Koeman is not going to pick a player for his Netherlands squad who isn’t playing every week for their club.

Bryan Mbeumo accepts ‘worst dancer’ at Man Utd tag

United fans have seen Mbeumo burst out the dance moves on multiple occasions since he completed his summer transfer to Old Trafford.

Along with Amad Diallo and Matheus Cunha, there has been no shortage of dancers in recent weeks.

When asked who the worst dancer in the squad is, Mbeumo accepted that his moves are not of the same standard as those of others in the dressing room.

“I think I can put myself in this,” Mbeumo admitted.

“I like to [dance] but I’m not really good.”
