‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea have agreed £40m deal with Man Utd for Garnacho

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign winger Alejandro Garnacho.

After Reds manager Ruben Amorim informed the 21-year-old that he had no future at Old Trafford, the two teams were locked in negotiations over a deal this summer. But there had been a valuation discrepancy.

To finalize the move to Stamford Bridge, the player will soon go to London for a medical after a contract worth £40 million plus a 10% sell-on clause was reached.

Chelsea and Man Utd Agree Garnacho Deal

As exclusively disclosed by GIVEMESPORT journalist Romano, Garnacho, who has been called “phenomenal,” had already reached personal terms with Chelsea beforehand and had stated that he only wished to join Enzo Maresca’s team.

The Argentina international reportedly turned down a recent proposal from Bayern Munich as well after promising the Club World Cup winners, but now he will get what he wants.

According to Romano, both parties are satisfied with a £40 million contract that includes a 10% sell-on clause. Garnacho will commit to Stamford Bridge for seven years.

Amorim made it apparent that he didn’t want Garnacho on his team moving ahead when he included the player in the “bomb squad” this summer and excluded him from both the preseason tour and the opening-day loss to Arsenal. This made the move possible.

With the addition of Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, and Joao Pedro, Chelsea has already made a number of transactions this summer to increase their attacking options. Estevao, a young player from Brazil, has also joined after moving from Palmeiras, as agreed last year.

Noni Madueke and Joao Felix have already moved on, while the Blues have also agreed a deal to sell Christopher Nkunku to AC Milan and both Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling are expected to leave before the transfer window closes on September 1st.
