Man United next transfer twist emerges as Carlos Baleba confidence confirmed

If Grimsby Town hadn’t advanced at their cost on Wednesday night, Senne Lammens might have made his Manchester United debut in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

If a deal happens this month, the goalie is probably going to support either Altay Bayindir or Andre Onana. Due to United’s failure to qualify for any UEFA competition this season and their elimination from one of the two domestic cups, their backup goalie has fewer opportunities to play.

That the Belgium international would arrive during this summer transfer window, however, doesn’t seem to be a given anymore. A summary of the most recent reports is provided below:

Lammens twist as deal ‘not straightforward’

Lammens is apparently being discussed by other clubs in addition to United. Negotiations on personal terms have not been easy, according to The Telegraph, and Galatasaray is investigating the possibility of a deal.

MEN Sport says: The optics of missing out on Lammens to Galatasaray, especially after the starts Bayindir and Onana have made this season, would be awful. However, after what happened at Blundell Park, they will not play in another competition until the FA Cup third round on the second weekend of January, by when Onana, if still at the club, will presumably be away at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Brighton’s Baleba confidence clear

Fabian Hurzeler, the head coach of Brighton & Hove Albion, is “100%” certain that Carlos Baleba will remain with the team despite any potentially expensive bids they get prior to the transfer deadline. “If there is a number more than 100 [%], I would say more than 100, so fantastically confident,” Hurzeler stated.
