Manchester United are busy attempting to finalise player sales, which suggests a late push for incomings could be ongoing.
Manchester United still has time to add players before the September 1 transfer deadline.
A deal to bring Rasmus Hojlund to Napoli is also almost finalized, while Antony is expected to secure a move away from Manchester United.
The £40 million transfer of Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea is also anticipated to be revealed soon.
Senne Lammens deal push
According to Fabrizio Romano’s most recent update, Manchester United will now attempt to finalize a deal for goalkeeper Senne Lammens.
United intensified their pursuit of the Royal Antwerp goalkeeper a week ago after watching Lammens throughout the summer, but they have failed to finalize the £17 million transfer.
United will increase their efforts to recruit the new goalkeeper as the deadline draws near.
“Understand Manchester United is preparing one last big push to get Senne Lammens deal done!” Romano reports.
“This weekend, negotiations with Royal Antwerp will pick up speed once more. Proceed.
Manchester United need new goalkeeper
Both goalkeepers, Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana, have made appearances for Manchester United this season.
In the midweek shock cup defeat against Grimsby Town, Onana was responsible for both goals given up and only stopped one of the 12 penalties he faced.
Bayindir has not kept a clean sheet for United since last September and has shown unsteady in his two appearances.
Restoring the trust of United supporters and perhaps the team’s outfield players also requires the signing of a new goalie.
Lammens might make his debut away at City in September if he signs. However, it’s unclear if any other players will be able to join him.
