Confirmed United XI vs Burnley: Onana, Dorgu, Sesko axed as Amorim makes wholesale changes

The future of Andre Onana’s Manchester United career is in jeopardy after he was cut from the team to play Burnley this afternoon.

Against Grimsby in the middle of the week, Onana committed two egregious mistakes that contributed to United suffering one of their most humiliating cup exits ever.

Defence

Altray Bayindir replaces Onana, but as United gets closer to signing Senne Lammens of Royal Antwerp, he may soon be in another competition for the starting number one shirt.

Today’s back three are Luke Shaw, Matthijs de Ligt, and Leny Yoro.

Tyler Fredricson is not included in the squad, and Harry Maguire and Ayden Heaven are back on the bench. Lisandro Martinez is the sole player still listed on the injury list as Nouss Mazraoui recovers from injury to take his position on the bench.

Wing Backs and Midfield

Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes are back as the center midfielders.

The wing backs are Diogo Dalot and Amad, with Dalot probably playing on the left.

Dropping to the bench is Patrick Dorgu.

Forwards

Mason Mount will play on the left of the front three, with Matheus Cunha at centre forward and Bryan Mbeumo on the right.

Benjamin Sesko drops back to the bench.

The full list of substitutes is as follows: Onana, Maguire, Heaven, Dorgu, Mazraoui, Mainoo, Ugarte, Zirkzee, Sesko.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 3pm.
