Even though the transfer window is closed, Manchester United may still make a lot of moves in the coming day. There was a lot of player turnover in both ways during their busy summer. While Diego Leon, a teenage defender, was signed for the future, Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, and Matheus Cunha joined as high-profile additions.
A number of players have also left United; Antony has returned to Real Betis on a permanent basis, and Alejandro Garnacho has joined Chelsea. Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford are among the others who have left on loan. The Red Devils still have time to make a number of announcements, though, as the next day will be very important.
After dropping their pursuit in Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, they have not yet confirmed the £18.2 million signing of Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens. According to reports, the former has completed a medical examination at Old Trafford and signed his contract.
It’s also believed that Jadon Sancho will soon sign a loan deal with Aston Villa for the end of the current season. Although the transfer has not yet been made public, it is anticipated to be completed very soon.
Tyrell Malacia, who was considered surplus to requirements at the beginning of the window, was the subject of negotiations with United over another loan exit. He was getting close to making a temporary move to Elche, a Spanish team, but the agreement fell through at the last minute.
The defender may still depart Old Trafford even though the transfer market is closed since Saudi Arabian and Turkish clubs have another 12 days to bolster their rosters.
United may still be able to add players from the free agent pool. The Red Devils wouldn’t have to rush to adopt this strategy because there are no time restrictions on recruiting players without teams.
Despite their interest in a deal for Carlos Baleba, they were unable to acquire a new midfield player during the window. With Brighton reportedly asking a nine-figure transfer fee, it soon became clear that a move would be too costly.
