Manchester United have been warned they may have to consider Ruben Amorim’s future as head coach after the club’s disappointing 3-1 loss to Brentford.
United travelled to west London to face the Beesat the G-tech Community Stadium in today’s lunchtime kick-off in the Premier League.
But United were stunned with a two-goal deficit inside 20 minutes after a brace from Igor Thiago, before Benjamin Sesko netted his first strike for the club to halve the deficit before half-time.
And the hosts made the three points secure in stoppage time when Mathias Jensen fired home to seal United’s fate and inflict a third Premier League loss for Amorim’s men in six games so far this season.
United are yet to win back-to-back games in the Premier League since Amorim’s arrival at Old Trafford last November and the Portuguese has secured only 34 points in the English top flight from 33 matches played.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the loss, Amorim said: “Of course we want to win. We didn’t control the game. We played the game of Brentford. First balls, second balls, set pieces. All the crucial moments were against us. Tough to lose again but we need to think about the next one.
