Before the transfer window closes, Manchester United may try to sign one more player.

This summer, the Red Devils have mostly concentrated on strengthening their forward position.

They have acquired teenage left wing-back Diego Leon as well as Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko.

United is reportedly looking to add at least one more player before the deadline, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The club’s discussions for Senne Lammens, the goalkeeper for Royal Antwerp, are “moving” along quite nicely.

The payment plan is still being discussed, and the Belgian team has asked for £17 million.

Prior to a possible late transfer to Old Trafford, the 23-year-old has already “said yes” to the Red Devils.

Lammens on course to join United

At various points during the transfer window, the goalie has been associated with the Red Devils.

He has already acknowledged that United is “one of the best clubs,” and the hierarchy and the former Club Brugge player have now reached a personal understanding.

Last season, Lammens had a fantastic breakthrough campaign with Antwerp. In the Belgian top division, he made 40 appearances. He had a 77 percent success rate and made 4.2 saves every appearance.

With an accuracy rate of 71 percent and an average of 26 passes, the gifted goalie made an impression. Each game, he hit nearly eight long balls. His management also attracted attention.

Lammens made a number of bold promises to demonstrate his aerial prowess. Having stopped four of eight penalty kick attempts against him in the previous season, he is also an expert at saving penalties.

There are many positive qualities, so we don’t find it surprising that United is attempting to reach an agreement despite Inter Milan’s desire. After Benjamin Sesko, he appears to be the club’s fifth summer transfer window acquisition.

He might not arrive at the same time as Andre Onana, as Romano mentioned. Altay Bayindir is more likely to depart in search of consistent first-team football.

Lammens might begin his United career as Onana’s deputy. If he plays inconsistently in goal this season, he might replace the Cameroon international.
