According to sources, Manchester United has turned down a second Chelsea player in exchange for Alejandro Garnacho. The Blues are trying to sign Garnacho before the transfer deadline on September 1st, but they haven’t been willing to pay United’s asking price of £50 million thus far.
The 21-year-old winger is reportedly valued at roughly £30 million by Chelsea, which has led Stamford Bridge officials to include periphery players in the transaction. In exchange for Garnacho, United had already turned down offers to sign Christopher Nkunku, Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi, or Nicolas Jackson.
According to reports, Chelsea is still trying to reduce Garnacho’s transfer fee by putting players from Enzo Maresca’s roster in their bid.
Tyrique George has now been rejected by United in return for their academy graduate, according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to reports, AS Roma is one of the suitors for the 19-year-old winger, who is anticipated to depart Chelsea before the deadline.
George has made 26 appearances for Chelsea’s first squad, tallying five assists and three goals.
However, United has made it clear that they must pay their Premier League rivals if they wish to sign Garnacho.
It is thought that the Argentina international has made his position known. He wants to stay in Manchester until the January transfer window or sign with Chelsea.
Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, and Saudi Pro League teams, including Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, have also expressed interest in Garnacho.
He is anticipated to finalize his transfer, though, and is convinced that he wants to stay in the Premier League with Chelsea.
In his attempts to raise money for additional incomings this summer, Ruben Amorim has had difficulty moving a number of outcasts, including him.
Garnacho, who has been exercising apart from his team since the beginning of preseason, joins Antony, Tyrell Malacia, and Jadon Sancho in Amorim’s “bomb squad.”
Prior to concluding a season-long loan transfer to Barcelona, Marcus Rashford was also banished. After a disagreement with the United manager, he spent the second part of the previous season with Aston Villa.
After being left out of the first two Premier League teams this season, Rasmus Hojlund has since entered the store window’s fringe quarter.
United are set to complete the £17m signing of Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens this week. Amorim also wants a new midfielder, and Garnacho’s sale could be the key.
