According to reports, Manchester United rejected the chance to acquire a young, talented player from Chelsea in exchange for Alejandro Garnacho, an offensive misfit from Old Trafford.
Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim has frequently told the Argentine forward that he has no future with the team and is completely out of the first team picture.
After turning down a chance to join Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich, Garnacho is adamant about staying in England and playing for another Premier League team. Chelsea is still his top choice.
Garnacho to Stamford Bridge is likely, according to TEAMtalk, especially because personal terms have already been negotiated. The two teams are still quite apart on the price, though, with Chelsea valuing the 21-year-old at closer to £30 million and Manchester United want £50 million.
In order to appease PSR and balance their roster in preparation for possibly making other additions before the summer transfer window closes on September 1, Enzo Maresca’s team is now seeking to let go of players like Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.
They had therefore planned to entice United by offering George, a highly regarded 19-year-old winger, as part of the Garnacho deal.
The 19-year-old has made eight Premier League appearances for Chelsea, scoring one goal, and was benched for their Europa Conference League victory last season. He has been a consistent performer at the England junior level.
Romano remains confident over Garnacho to Chelsea
Fabrizio Romano has stated that he still believes the former will end up at Stamford Bridge in spite of the offer of a Garnacho, George trade.
Prior to Everton’s attempt to recruit Tyler Dibling, the gifted attacker was also a target for George, and the Italian team Roma also has admiration for the player.
“I can tell you with 100% certainty that Chelsea expects the Alejandro Garnacho deal to happen,” Romano recently stated on his YouTube channel.
Since he has missed numerous opportunities, the athlete anticipates that this transaction will be completed.
Tyrique George’s inclusion in the trade was discussed, but I was informed that this option was dropped a few weeks ago.
“Roma is now considering him.”
If Garnachos doesn’t complete an exit before the deadline, he could be left in the wilderness, especially after missing United’s opening two league games of the season.
Amorim acknowledges that the circumstances are not ideal, but he is still training in exile for the moment.
Before the match against Fulham, the United manager stated: “I understand that having players in this predicament is bad, but it’s obvious they want to play for another team.
We make every effort to ensure that everyone is satisfied, therefore I have to make an effort to train with the men I believe will shape the future.
The other guys are then working out and getting ready for the next phase.
“The history is different when the window is closed. After the window closes, we must accept the players and start over. Anything can occur.
