Old Trafford was sent into raptures as Benjamin Sesko struck in the 94th minute to seal a 3-2 win and propel United back into fourth place in the league table.
The Red Devils looked to be cruising at 2–0 before Fulham launched a spirited late comeback to turn the contest on its head in the final ten minutes.
While it was a late thunderous strike from Sesko that proved to be the difference, Casemiro deservedly walked away with the Man of the Match award.
The 22-year-old was quick to give flowers to the Brazilian after the game.
He said (via Sky Sports): “He is an unbelievable player, a legend. It is nice to play with him and it is also nice to listen to his advice.
“His work rate is unbelievable and he gives all his teams a boost. We are grateful to have him with us.”
Casemiro fired the Red Devils ahead through a powerful header after Bruno Fernandes delivered an inch-perfect cross into the six-yard box from a free-kick.
The veteran made the finish look effortless, underlining just how dominant and dangerous he remains inside the opposition penalty area.
It was his fifth Premier League goal of the season, marking the 2025–26 campaign as his most prolific league season to date.
And he was far from finished.
Moments later, Casemiro produced a moment of pure class, threading a mesmerising no-look pass to set up Matheus Cunha for United’s second goal.
Cunha found a pocket of space between two centre-backs and demanded the ball.
Casemiro spotted the run instantly, disguising his pass perfectly to wrong-foot the Fulham defence and give Cunha the precious seconds he needed to beat the goalkeeper.
The 33-year-old also dominated defensively, winning seven duels and completing three crucial recoveries.
His importance was underlined when he was substituted in the 75th minute to a rousing standing ovation from the Old Trafford faithful.
It was no coincidence that United lost control of the game soon after his departure.
That swing in momentum served as a stark reminder of just how vital Casemiro has become to this United side.
Critics may still point to his weaknesses, but they would be foolish to ignore the reality.
