Fabrizio Romano shares what he’s now heard on Man Utd signing Rabiot after agent approach

In his exclusive GIVEMESPORT email, Fabrizio Romano states that Manchester United is focused on other matters despite being offered the opportunity to recruit Adrien Rabiot this summer.

After creating a new attack earlier in the transfer season, United is looking to add a midfield player this summer. After the arrival of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko at Old Trafford, focus is now shifting to other roles within Ruben Amorim’s team.

Rabiot, a midfielder for Marseille, may be available to Manchester United this summer, according to earlier reports from GIVEMESPORT journalist Romano. After getting into a fight in the changing room, the French international is now expected to leave the Ligue 1 team. Rabiot may be available in the near future for a fair price, as United has expressed interest in a number of midfield players this summer.

Fabrizio Romano: Man Utd and Rabiot Update

Romano has shared what he is currently learning about Manchester United and Rabiot in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT email. Since the Red Devils are presently concentrating on other matters, the reputable writer affirms that there are no developments about a contract between United and Rabiot.

“Zero movements at the moment on this one. Manchester United are focused on different things.”

Rabiot’s signing may be a touch overwhelming for the fans, even though United is looking for new players in the middle of the field. Given that Rabiot is thirty years old and that his prime is over, one may argue that he wouldn’t even strengthen Amorim’s position.

Since the Portuguese manager took over, Kobbie Mainoo has had difficulty making the starting lineup under Amorim, thus it would be unfortunate if Rabiot’s signing hinders his progress. Given his inability to impress Amorim thus far this season, there has been some doubt over Mainoo’s future at Old Trafford, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see him leave.

In the 2025–2026 Premier League season, United has yet to secure a victory. Despite a strong showing, the Red Devils lost 1-0 to Arsenal at home to start the season. Following that, Amorim’s team drew 1-1 with Fulham, but the Manchester team’s performance was lackluster.
